The county that ran on peat is running on daylight. Offaly roofs generate at the national average, and we handle the survey, the €1,800 SEAI grant and the install end to end.

Why Now
The SEAI grant is held at €1,800 for 2026 after a planned cut was dropped. Government policy is to reduce it as panel prices fall, so applying now locks in the higher amount.
Irish homes grant-aided since 2018
Offaly homes grant-aided in 2025
of those happened in 2025 alone

Years of Experience
Offaly sits at 881 kWh per kWp, matching the national average, so an Offaly roof earns what an average Irish roof earns. A 4 kWp system produces about 3,524 kWh a year, and panels run on daylight, so output holds through cloud and keeps going all winter.

Can't recomend these guys enough. Did an absolutely fantastic job on my solar install and spent plenty of time prior to it making sure I got the right system for my needs. They were also coming in the cheapest too with a quick installation turn around. A1. Thanks again!Posted on Google![]()

I don’t like giving reviews because quality can change over time at a company. However, I can say the job they did in March 2025 was faultless. Attention to detail was superb to hide as much wiring as possible. Delighted with the result. I’ll use them again if I need a car charger in future.Posted on Google![]()

Great service, quick, efficient and transparent.
The flat ground that made Offaly a peat county also makes it a good solar county. Farm sheds here sit low, wide and almost never shaded.
Grain dryers, water pumps and yard lighting pull hard during daylight hours. TAMS 3 covers 60% of eligible costs up to a €90,000 ceiling, separate from your other TAMS allowances.

Most Offaly homes need about 10 panels, which is a 4 kWp system and the exact size that unlocks the full €1,800 SEAI grant. That generates roughly 3,524 kWh a year, covering about 84% of average Irish household electricity use.
The €1,800 SEAI grant and 0% VAT both come off before you pay, so the number that matters is the net cost. That depends on how many panels your roof takes and whether you add a battery. The calculator above gives an estimate.
Yes. Offaly generates about 881 kWh for every kWp installed, which is level with the national average and 16th of 26 counties. Panels run on daylight rather than direct sun, so Offaly’s roughly 1,240 sunshine hours a year understate what a system actually produces.
Most Offaly homes need no planning permission for rooftop solar, since SI 405/2022 removed the roof area cap for houses. Apartments, protected structures and homes in an Architectural Conservation Area still need approval and should check with Offaly County Council.
A standard Offaly home install takes one working day on site, from the scaffold going up to the system being switched on. The full process from first call to live system runs about a month, most of which is survey and SEAI grant approval.
